2024 Honda Passport Changes, Colors, Release DateIn the midsize SUV market, the 2024 Honda Passport is still a newcomer, but it’s already made an impact. The Japanese model is based on the Honda Pilot’s platform, but instead of including the third row of seats, it focuses on maximizing passenger volume and hauling the most baggage possible. It has Honda’s proven 3.5-liter V6 engine, which generates 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Between the CR-V and the Pilot, the Passport is a well-rounded midsize SUV. In addition to a roomy cabin and a simple dashboard, the Honda Pilot comes standard with a slew of useful driver assistance functions.

2024 Honda Passport Redesign

Exterior Design

Despite its conservative external style, the 2024 Honda Passport SUV was never the ugliest or most memorable SUV on the road. A more aggressive front end, a redesigned grille and bumpers, and an updated power-bulge hood are all part of the new look for this year. Both the bumpers and the exhaust finishers have been updated. Smart programmable remote entry and automatic LED headlights are standard features on the base model. LED brake lights and rear privacy glass are optional.

Except for the new TrailSport’s off-road-focused two-tone 18-inch, alloy wheels with massive 245/60R18 tires, all models ride on a pair of 20-inch split-spoke alloy wheels. Black Passport and AWD badges, as well as orange “TrailSport” badges, are added to the TrailSport. Moonroof, walk-away auto lock, memory-linked mirrors, and power liftgate are standard on all trim levels. The Elite gets a hands-free tailgate, which is more specific to the Elite. Front and rear parking sensors are standard equipment on all trims except the TrailSport and Elite.

Interior Design

Combined with the Passport’s roomy cabin and clean dashboard design, the overall impression is one of quality and airiness. Inside, the vehicle’s three-row configuration is immediately apparent: there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread around. The minute you begin engaging with the vehicle, it is clear that Honda has taken great care to ensure that every aspect of the driving experience is as smooth as possible. Easy to get in and out, visibility and controls are all within easy reach of the driver and front-seat passenger in this vehicle. For the year 2024, the gauge cluster will include white needles and new gray lighting. Honda has done a good job with the cabin.

A high-resolution touchscreen display of 8 inches in diagonal was added to the device last year, which was the most major change. In the base model, the 5-inch display was replaced by this one. Our team appreciates the logical menu structure and smooth operation of the system. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth streaming with HandsfreeLink are available on all Passport models. MP3/aux jacks also come standard as does an RDS tuner.

One USB charging port is on the front of the base model, while the others have two on the front and one on the back. The 215-watt, the seven-speaker stereo system is standard on the two lowest trims. There is a 12-volt charging port in the front, middle, and back of all models, along with SMS text message functionality and SiriusXM and HD Radio. Wi-Fi Hotspot and a 540-watt, 10-speaker sound system complete the Elite’s list of features. A 115-volt power outlet is standard on both the TrailSport and Elite models.

2024 Honda Passport Engine

The 2024 Honda Passport is powered by a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine with Honda’s famous i-VTEC variable valve timing. 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque are sent to the front or all four wheels via a nine-speed automated transmission. The Passport has the same setup as the Pilot, but because of its smaller size, it performs better and has a more agile ride. It will easily pass slower-moving vehicles on the highway. even after two years of new calibration, the nine-speed automatic transmission still has trouble finding the right gear for quick acceleration. There are paddle shifters installed on the steering column for those who prefer a more hands-on experience.
