2023 Honda CR-V Redesign, Release Date, Specs

2023 Honda CR-V Redesign, Release Date, Specs The Civic-based CR-V SUV from Honda will remain unchanged for the 2023 model year. The standard equipment list for the 2023 Honda CR-V will have various enhanced and improved features and a few new additions. Following the recent mid-cycle update, there will be no more visual updates until 2023, when the model is redesigned. A hybrid powertrain option will also be available for the vehicle. Trim levels should remain unchanged, but Honda could release a limited-edition model to keep interested high while waiting for the next model to arrive.

Small families will find the Honda CR-V to be a well-rounded crossover SUV. The cargo space in the vehicle is enormous, and the interior is spacious. The standard turbocharged engine is somewhat capable of acceleration and fuel economy. Hybrid models using the Accord’s powertrain are available to buyers. The CR-V is a well-equipped and well-behaved vehicle, even in its entry-level model. The CR-V is Honda’s answer to the Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, Chevy Equinox, and Nissan Rogue in the crowded compact SUV market.

Exterior Design

In 2017, the fifth-generation Honda CR-V was unveiled, and in 2023, it received a mid-cycle update. Honda’s current CR-V shares styling cues with all of the company’s other vehicles. New generation Honda CR-V and other models are expected to receive aesthetic modifications similar to the Ridgeline pickup truck recently reworked. Their preference is new color and wheel options for the 2023 Honda CR-V. According to specific reports, a new limited-edition model of the vehicle will feature distinctive stylistic components.

For the 2023 model year, the model received a grille redesign and new headlights, and those changes will be carried over to the 2023 model year. The front and back bumpers and the wheel designs were updated as part of the most recent facelift.

Interior Design

However, the popular CR-V will unlikely see any significant in-cab changes for the 2023 model year. For the 2023 Honda CR-V, temporal patterns will remain the same while standard features are expanded, and the 5-inch display will be eventually replaced with a larger 7-inch model. There should be a new limited edition model with special in-cab features.

Quality materials and well-placed controls make the CR-cabin V’s incredibly useful. In-cab features like imitation wood, chrome, and brushed satin are also included. The seats in this small SUV are well-sculpted and highly comfortable. On top of that, there are 39.2 cubic feet of storage space behind the back seats. The 7-inch touchscreen and Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist safety features will be standard on every CR-V. The most expensive models will include more luxurious features, such as leather seats and navigation systems.

However, despite Honda’s best efforts, a few spy images reveal what is happening within the cabin. This is especially true of the dashboard, which is expected to resemble the new Civic. Seeing the same tablet-like infotainment screen, which appears to be of a decent size, tells us as much. Of course, the new 2023 Honda CR-V will be significant and functional. This has always been a strong suit of the models. There are three rows and seven seats in the expanded version for seating. Even if this version does come to North America, we don’t know for sure.

2023 Honda CR-V Engine

The turbocharged engine will be standard on the 2023 Honda CR-V, but a more energy-efficient hybrid powertrain is also available. A 1.5-lt turbocharged four-cylinder engine power the CR-small V’s design. The engine is capable of producing 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. It has a smooth, constantly variable transmission for the model. The front- or all-wheel drive options are available to buyers. A 2.0-lt four-cylinder engine is combined with two electric motors in the CR-V Hybrid. All-wheel drive is standard, and 212 horsepower is at your disposal.

It is expected that a non-hybrid CR-V with a turbocharged engine and front-wheel drive will get 28mpg city and 34mpg highway. The model is expected to consume 1mpg less in the town and on the street when equipped with all-wheel drive. The CR-V Hybrid will get 40 mpg in the city, 35 on the road, or 38 overall.

Honda engineers aren’t taking any chances with this engine, as we’ve already noted a few times. As a result, the powertrain should be mostly unchanged. The current variant has 190 horsepower from a 1.5 lt turbo-four engine. It’s paired with a CVT gearbox, providing excellent driving characteristics and fuel economy. In addition, the vehicle’s fuel economy is outstanding.

2023 Honda CR-V Release Date and Price

Late in 2022, the 2023 Honda CR-V will go on sale without significant changes. Additionally, the model will maintain a price within a narrow range. There should be a base model that costs around $25,000. The CR-V Hybrid offers better fuel efficiency with a starting price of about $27,500. The most expensive models will cost in the mid-thirties.
