2023 Honda Civic Si Price, Release Date, InteriorIt’s been 45 years since the 2023 Honda Civic Si debuted, and it’s been a wild ride. Other generations are thought to be more successful than others of the same age. Honda unveiled the tenth-generation Civic in 2023, a car based on Honda’s new small global platform, which features a fastback styling and a significant upgrade in the interior over prior generations.

The Civic Type R hatchback and a new Si are headed to the United States, which is fantastic news. The new Si has a turbocharged 1.5-lt engine that produces 205 horsepower for the first time. All is not lost even though it falls short of everyone’s expectations by a few ponies. As a well-rounded car, it has distinct stylistic cues that set it separate from both the regular Civic and the Type R, even if it doesn’t sit nicely between the Civic and Type R’s higher trim levels.

Exterior Design

For clarity, the new 2023 Honda Civic Si is 96.3 percent (or thereabouts), similar to the previous generation of Civic coupes. As a result, we won’t go over anything you’ve already seen and are likely to forget. Let’s start with gloss black as a starting point. The standard Civic has no chrome or grayish black trim; instead, the Si features a glossy black finish.

Inserts for the faux corner vents, the air dam mesh, the upper and lower radiator grille fins, and the eyelids over the headlights all fall under this category. The inner edges of the taillights and the arms of the rear spoiler are also finished in gloss black also the insert on the back fascia. The red paint job on this Civic Si is a striking contrast to the otherwise black and white exterior. Despite this, you’ll find chrome on the exhaust tip, door glass, and the rear quarter glass of the Si. It’s a subtle touch.

Interior Design

When the new Civic coupe’s interior was unveiled in late 2023, it was a significant revolution and a massive draw for prospective consumers. The two-tiered dash and various screens have been replaced by more elegant lines and an overall clean and modern style. Instruments are placed in front of the steering wheel while the center stack houses the infotainment display.

To get a sense of how the silver or aluminum look is incorporated into this model, take a closer look at its door pull handles, steering wheel spokes, audio controls, and gear shifter trim. While the carbon fiber-look dash trim isn’t much, it works well with the metal pedals and the accenting on the seats. A seven-inch touchscreen is standard on this model, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone connectivity are included.

You may also use the phone’s app store to access various other phone apps via this device. While driving down the back roads, you’ll enjoy listening to your favorite music with a 450-Watt, 10-speaker audio system. ABS, EBD, vehicle strength assist, and traction control are all welcomed as standard equipment on the Si. We’ll be looking for Honda’s assertion that the Civic is aiming for a five-star NCAP score shortly.

2023 Honda Civic Si Engine

The 1.5-lt turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the EX and touring grade levels replaces the 2.0-lt gasoline engine in the LX model. This engine provides the basic Civic’s 174 horsepower and 154 pound-feet torque. Just enough to get the task done on time and without running out of time. However, this is not enough for a badge-wearing Si.

Although the 1.5-lt turbocharged engine maintains the same horsepower as the previous model, the turbo’s reduced powerband means that the driving experience is more enjoyable because the powerband’s maximum horsepower and torque are lower. To make matters even better, it’s also lighter, which means it’s a little quicker off the mark. A six-speed, short-throw, manual transmission only shifts the vehicle’s power to the front wheels. The lack of all-wheel drive in the Honda Si is disappointing, but the improved steering, sport-tuned suspension, and variable dampers make up for it.

2023 Honda Civic Si Cost and Release Date

You may anticipate paying little more than you would for a Civic Touring before extras, taxes, and delivery charges, but Honda hasn’t provided pricing details yet. According to Honda, a reasonable estimate for the New Si’s MSRP is somewhere around $27,000. With the Civic Touring starting at $26,225, you’d better save up for a-Si instead of going with the Touring.
